CRAYTONIUM

Integrated Biochemistry
Privacy Policy

Updated 26 October 2026 · iOS, iPadOS and Android

Who this policy covers

This privacy policy applies to Integrated Biochemistry (also called Biochemistry), developed and published by Craytonium Sp. z o. o., on iOS, iPadOS and Android, including App Store, Google Play and beta distributions. Privacy contact: info@craytonium.com.

App use and information stored on your device

No app account or registration is required. The app has no advertising, cross-app tracking or developer-operated analytics. Lessons, learning models and molecular drawing work offline. Saved molecule drawings, compound records and notes, saved 3D coordinates, bookmarks, activity settings, language preferences and learning or quiz progress stay in the app’s local storage. They are used to reopen your work and retain your settings. The app does not automatically upload your molecule bank, notes or learning progress to Craytonium. We do not sell app data or use it for advertising.

Optional database searches and external websites

When you choose a lookup or structure download, PubChem receives the molecule name, identifier or chemical structure query needed to answer that request. Protein searches and downloads send names or identifiers to RCSB PDB or UniProt as appropriate. The provider also receives ordinary connection information such as your IP address and request timing. These services supply the scientific records you requested and process requests under their own privacy policies. Opening an external reference connects you to its publisher. Avoid entering personal, patient or confidential information into queries, names or notes that you send to a provider. You can use the bundled offline content without making these requests. No app-controlled advertising or tracking purpose is attached to these requests.

Sharing, files and backups

Imports read the files you choose through platform file controls. Exports and sharing occur when you choose them and are sent to the destination you select. Exported drawings, records and images may contain names, notes and structures you entered; review them before sharing. The destination handles its copy under its own policies. Craytonium receives exports only if you send them to us. The app does not provide cloud synchronisation. On iOS and iPadOS, device or iCloud backups may contain app data depending on platform settings. Android system backup is disabled for this version. Platform services and user-created exports remain separate from app-local storage.

Retention and deletion

Local records remain until you delete them or delete the app and its data. Delete drawings in the molecule bank, compound records in the saved-records screen, and downloaded coordinates in Saved 3D structures. Remove bookmarks with the bookmark control and reset learning progress with the app’s reset controls. Deleting the app removes its app-local data; iOS offloading retains it. Recovery copies of a damaged iOS molecule bank remain in app storage until the app is deleted. Exported files, copies sent to others and existing device backups must be deleted separately at their destinations. The app cannot recall shared files or delete copies held by a database provider. Craytonium cannot remotely retrieve or delete records stored only on your device. There is no app account to delete.

Support correspondence

If you contact info@craytonium.com, we receive your email address and any name, message, attachments or diagnostics you choose to send. We use this information to respond, support the app and investigate the issue. Email delivery and mailbox services process correspondence for those purposes. Send only information necessary for the enquiry and avoid confidential medical data. We retain correspondence only as needed to handle the enquiry, resolve the issue and meet applicable legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information we hold.

App stores, testing and diagnostics

Apple and Google independently handle their accounts, downloads, purchases, payments and platform diagnostics under their own policies and your settings. Craytonium does not receive payment-card details from app purchases. TestFlight automatically provides Apple beta crash and usage information and any feedback you submit to the developer. This can include device and operating-system details, app versions, sessions, installations, crashes, comments and screenshots. Test invitations or feedback may identify you. Google Play may provide developer quality, installation, crash and device information through its platform services. We use developer-accessible beta and quality information to manage testing, diagnose problems and improve the app, not for advertising. The platform providers control collection and retention in their systems. You can stop beta testing and manage diagnostic settings through the platform; stopping does not itself erase past reports. Contact us about information held by Craytonium.

Security and your choices

Local records use the protections of the operating system’s app storage. Database requests use HTTPS; the Android app disables cleartext traffic and restricts its bundled learning pages to local content. These safeguards do not guarantee absolute security. Keep the device updated, use a device lock and choose export destinations carefully. You control optional searches, sharing and whether to contact support. The app does not request access to contacts, precise location or a microphone for its educational features.

Children and educational use

The app is an educational reference and does not ask users to provide their age, identity or patient information. It has no social feed, messaging or app accounts. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children through the app. A parent or guardian can contact us about personal information a child may have sent to support. Store age ratings and audience settings are provided separately.

Privacy rights and changes

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to processing or obtain a portable copy of personal information held by Craytonium, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Contact info@craytonium.com and identify Integrated Biochemistry and the platform concerned. We may need to verify a request. We cannot access device-local records you have not sent us. This policy will be updated if data handling changes; additional notice or consent will be provided where required. This app policy is separate from the hosting website’s own privacy and cookie notices.
